Life Advice

My Beautiful friend Hannah and I have started a zine called Lost Sock, the first edition is Life Advice. The words are by Hannah and the illustrations are by me. It's 2 bucks, cheap as chips and a god damn good read.

Bunting!

Today I took my new sewing machine for a spin and made some cute bunting for our lounge room.

Melbourne!

I have arrived in Melbourne, I have low funds, no job, no house, no scissors, no glue, no things to cut up, no film, no cameras (except digital and the uploading cord is packed in a box on the gold coast) So this blog is going to be very bare for about 2 weeks :)
Bought myself a glue stick and glued my drawings together. happy days

This is something I'm doing for my lovely friend Lex who is making a magazine prototype for uni. These are old drawings, new drawings, old drawings on top of new drawings and collages all mashed together. This involved far too much time with my scissors and after arranging it all on the floor I couldn't find my glue stick, such is life hey.

Right now I need a bottle of wine, some cigarettes, a hammock and some kind of relaxing eye mask.

At the moment I am in the middle of moving houses, so instead of hauling all my magazines to the new abode I have decided to cull all the pages that I don't like and rip out all the ones I do to create one mega magazine. This information is slightly relevant to the following photos because these are some pictures I cut up and then drew on this evening while embarking on the cull.

I tried to document the process of one of my drawings. I still can't decide whether I actually like the final result but here it is anyway.....

Drawings

Here are some pictures I've drawn of friends recently... I've been drawing pictures like this since about year 9 but never of people I have known, I'd usually just draw this one guy with a huge head who I called farmer joe and he would just wear overalls and hold a rake... Anyway since those days i've branched out and its actually been quite fun...... I've included real life photos for resemblance purposes..... enjoy......

The first I did was my lovely housemate and gal pal Ami.
